Birthiving Toad is a Danish "newly discovered, mind-altering, highly addictive, yet listenable psychoactive" headed by multi-instrumentalist Lasse Buch. Members of the band like to describe their sound in the areas of psych and prog, but to my mind this is closer to a sweaty, funky, a bit lo-fi version of math rock. Totally diggin' the raw, oldschool atmosphere they got goin' here. Like U.S. Maple doing Funkadelic, minus the Beefheartian vocals. Recommended!
