the divine" drops at your door. whereas it's predecessor, "the illuminated," was a dark, twisted trek through the most uncomfortable reaches of the xela psyche, "the divine" looks toward the light, attemping to find solace but, again, finds nothing to hang on to. and it's one hell of a jam. starting out with endless loops of church bells battering your skull into a reverie, the next thing you know it's like you're suddenly a cockroach in the house of god. cryptic voices haunt the bells and get dragged through the dirt. everything and everyone is lost in the static. toward the end, a choir of voices emerges, escaping the black hole plague.

Gkfoes Vjgoaf

The name Gkfoes Vjgoaf sounds just as if someone got extremely lazy/stoned and just hit the keyboard randomly, thus calling the project of such name to life (jesus what happened in this sentence, talk about getting stoned and hitting the keyboard randomly). But don't get deceived, for Gkfoes Vjgoaf is an extremely fine psychedelic folk project by a man named Sean based in Berkeley, California. What is even nicer, Sean uploads his recorded material by himself on Mediafire and sells it on cassettes. You can buy his albums from Ace of Tapes. Also, make sure to visit his Myspace!

E-mails megapost!

I've been getting a lot of new albums on my e-mail account lately and I've been constantly postponing posting them on the blog. My apologies to everyone who sent me those mails. However, now I've finally found time to post them all on my blog. Sorry if my post may appear a bit messy in structure. And finally, BIG THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO SENT ME MAILS WITH THEIR MUSIC. Sorry to keep you waiting, guys. I'll do my best to post your songs/albums as soon as possible on the blog in the future.

Orgone Accumulators - Good Advice EP
just trying to do a bit of promo for the new Orgone Accumualtors EP and stumbled across Weedtemple. Saw you're into experimental and electronic stuff and like stuff that's a bit tuneful but a bit noisey. Orgone Accumulators=attempt to cross Man Or Astroman with detroit techno. Thought you might be into it. Here's some blurb:- It's been a couple of months since the Orgone Accumulators - Wilhelm Reich And Roll EP was presented to the general public and since then the Fifth Neuro Orgone Research Department has been a hive of activity. The research into the alien communications from Sirius has been incredibly successful and we can now announce the publication of the past few months results:-

Ghosts - Ghosts
Dear You Records are pleased to present "GHOSTS", the solo debut from Paris, France based Ben Catt.
Recording under the handle Ghosts, Catt has developed a poignant language of evocation, aura and colour.
Across a five-track EP Ghosts creates a complete atmosphere, inhabited by phantoms of both story and
process, finding a synaesthetic point where that which is heard becomes that which is seen and felt.
A pillowy bed of distorted drums and found sounds support delicate guitar, while vocals sometimes
wistfully, sometimes hopefully yearn for something other.

Tardigrades - Neutron Star
The new Tardigrades album, entitled Neutron Star, is coming out this week on french label Et pourtant ça avait bien commencé. I'd be more than happy to see this on your blog if you like it... Sounds like : drone, ambiant, etc... Made using keyboards and FX. It can be ordered at Et pourtant's website : http://etpourtantlabel.blogspot.com

Alaskas - Unshackled (Universal Studios Florida Remix)
we were very stoked to see that you dug our record Ocean Sunbirds. Our friend and tourmate Alaskas (who sang on our record) asked us to remix a track off his new record, Set Yourself Free. I'm attaching a link to the .mp3 of the remix, along with a large version of the "cover" art, for your potential enjoyment. I guess this is the first new USF music since Sunbirds dropped, and is somewhat indicative of the musical directions we're moving in.
Thanks again for the love, it's deeply appreciated. Weed Temple is radical.

One grrrrrreat improvistational psychedelic rock album. Guitar freakouts and stellar drumming. 'Prism Light Traveller' is totally stuck in my head. Check this shit out, NOW.

Delay 2009

Terrible delays this month, I know.

First, holidays at my friend's house, which lasted for a week or so. Drinking beer, playing drums and multiple electric guitars, playing Quake 2 with lots of random people until late at night and lots of good music. Then a HUEG FUCKING STORM and a major power outage (which meant I couldn't reach the internets for quite a few days). And then some nice holidays at the lakeside with some fine weed that was smoked in the woods (the spiders are building a secret network of high-speed motorways, you know) and some beer. And some dancing to loud dance music. Full sensory assault.

Fuck it, time to post some nice albums. I just felt like explaining myself.

High Wolf - Animal Totem

Neo-psychedelia/drone/tropical/ambient,
France,
2009.
I can't believe this cassette went practically unnoticed through the blogosphere. Because it's fucking awesome. At times it sounds totally like Schwingungen-era Ash Ra Tempel, sometimes it sounds like Starving Weirdos, sometimes even like some rainforest incarnation of Natural Snow Buildings. Extremely good quality for a cassette. I think this (together with Sun Araw and new Ducktails maybe) is going to dominate my playlist for a while.

Dolphins Into the Future - ...On Seafaring Isolation

Ambient/electronic/field recordings,
Belgium,

Nice album. Calm electronic ambient which sounds like something taken from the kosmische musik era. With some occasional field recordings (water splashing, waves crashing, birds singing etc.). Released on Not Not Fun. Quality!

Silver Bullets - Free Radical

United States/Italy, 2009.

"(...)two sides, eleven tracks of kraut-funk, coned-out drone rock, and assorted experiments with space and time. Wade through bluesy head-nodders, Italian fuzz contests, interplanetary bleeps and blips, and liberated dance songs for anti-environments. Taking spiritual cues from Don Cherry's Eternal Rhythm, ‘Free Radical’ is a statement of unity through musical expression and an ecstatic celebration of existence. Play this tape at full moon and brace yourself for the unforeseen happenings." - William Giacchi

Moar deliciousness from Not Not Fun. I love listening to this band when I'm drunk. Dunno why. Maybe it's the tribal rhythms that do it for me.

James Ferraro gone dance/disco. Like some superrare 80's cassette unearthed just recently.

SUNROOF! TIMES TWO

Sunroof! is a musical project of Varg Vi... Matthew Bower, who is mainly known as the leader of legendary UK blackened noise-drone clusterfuckers Skullflower. Sunroof! is wildly different from the usual stuff by Bower, introducing a much calmer sound, based mostly on light drones and glitchy synthesizer ambience with occasional use of traditional instruments. At times it falls under one of my favorite tags: 'ecstatic drone'. Good stuffz.

Bliss (2001)

Cloudz (2003)

Finally, an update.

Yeah, so I've neglected this blog a bit lately. Almost a month with no updates.

Lots of shit went down - finishing the college, writing the diploma paper and doing exams. Pointless e-mails, nervous talks, even more nervous waiting, getting all psyched for the worst case scenario, paper jamming in the printer... now it's all (almost) over, and I have time to post moar psychedelicious albums from all around the world.

Time to post some goddamn music here.
