Simple, psychedelic-ish folk from Chicago. No, it's not lo-fi - the production quality here is top notch, which is nice, because it makes you appreciate all the little elements in this man's music. The main instruments here are obviously an acoustic guitar and the voice, but there is some interesting experimentation with electric guitar and even the studio equipment - like "Aces" which sounds like something between early Animal Collective and Christian Fennesz. The tracks range from typical singer-songwriter stuff (with a slight, SLIGHT delay) to relaxing guitar passages set to field recording (or maybe recorded in the middle of the forest)? Recommended.
